67^th CSW Side Event: The AU HHSD leveraging on the margins of the 67th CSW which adopted a similar theme on digital empowerment of women and girls, organized a side event themed Strengthening Digital Rights and Online Safety to Protect and Promote Girls and Women’s Technological Empowerment”  

The high-level hybrid event which occurred on 15th March was hosted by H.E Ambassador Fatima Kyari Mohammed, the Permanent Observer Mission of the African Union to the United States.

The event attracted high-level participation of 103 in-personal participants including 3 targeted Member States, i.e., Malawi, Ghana and Zambia, alongside other 2 Member States being like Cote d’Ivoire and Nigeria, two girl child activists and 30 online Stakeholders who represented AU Organs, International Organizations and Civil Society Organizations such as WOLREC- Malawi, AU CIEFFA, Plan International, USAID, CARE International, UNICEF, UNFPA, UNESCO etc.  Find here the outcome document.
